Heavy Equipment Operator


Working under the Job Supervisor, President or Vice-President, the heavy equipment operator ensures the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of a variety of equipment used in oilfield construction and maintenance. Duties include (but are not limited to) trenching to proper specifications, handling pipe in sizes ranging from 3-10", right-of-way clearing and construction, facility work, laying pipe and site clean-up. You'll work as part of a team and independently to complete your projects, and you'll uphold the Doran Stewart standard of building solid client relationships.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years in direct oilfield construction and maintenance experience, specifically relating to hot tie-ins and pipeline and facility construction
  • Experience operating and maintaining track hoes, loaders, bulldozers and pipelayers.
  • References related to your industry-related experience

Tickets that must be up-to-date:

  • Ground Disturbance Level 2
  • H 2S Safety Ticket
  • First Aid
  • Confined Spaces
  • WHMIS
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods
