and Doran Stewart.
Background: Doran
Stewart was appointed the primary contractor
on this job; providing environmental
and construction services and overseeing
the successful completion of the project.
We completed 48 km of pipeline ranging
in size from 3" to 6". We
also completed an additional 40 km
of pipeline and the construction of
a gas plant near Hinton.
Challenges: The terrain
in this environmentally-sensitive area includes
solid rock, steep grades and swamp.
Though closer to urban centers than
some of our more isolated projects,
the location of this job tested our
ability to provide equipment and supplies.
We also took care to minimize our disturbance
to the environment.
Results: This long-running
project has offered us the opportunity
to develop a strong working relationship
with this client. Doran Stewart
is slated to work on further projects
with them in the future.
